Delivering Environmentally Sustainable IT Solutions

At Hyperware we pride ourselves on delivering environmentally and sustainable solutions to both government and private sector clients. Certified as 100% Carbon neutral through the Carbon Reduction Institute www.noco2.com.au we have successfully maintained this certification for over 2 years without compromising quality or value.

We understand that sustainable IT is not just about decreasing the carbon footprint of the services we offer, it’s also about consistently delivering high quality, cost effective solutions that augment our organisational capabilities.

These services have been delivered to a range of clients including some of Australia's most recognised brands and to all levels of government within Australia in particular the Victorian government spanning across 11 departments and agencies making us one of the largest existing providers of green it services within the Victorian government.

We have an environmental policy and implemented an internal management system to ensure our operating procedures are in-line with our vision and objectives as part of our Environmental Sustainability Framework.

The following are several initiatives that we have implemented to make a difference:

  • The majority of our workforce travel to and from client sites by public transport or low emission vehicles - where this is not possible the carbon emissions produced are calculated and added to our total carbon emissions..

  • Second hand server, laptop and hardware purchasing policies have been adopted - 95% of hardware purchases in the last 2 years have been 2nd hand and purchased within a 50km distance of our office..

  • Power Saving initiatives - Server auto shutdown and stand-by mode switches are installed throughout our office along with the implementation of low energy lighting and maximum use of natural lighting..

  • Second hand office furniture policies and use of public transport policies are encouraged.

  • We operate a paper-free office as much as we can - Wherever possible Invoices are sent via email in PDF form rather than posting out hard copies .

  • We have a zero wastage policy and reuse the unprinted side of a sheet and also purchase recycled photocopier paper and toner cartridges for our printers.

  • All our used paper and other appropriate materials are sent for recycling and where possible, we seek suppliers and products which minimise negative environmental impacts.

We believe it is our responsibility to ensure sound, environmentally responsible, operation practice in our activities. We are committed to the incorporation of environmental concern into our decisions and actions.
